The Cairo Criminal Court -Circuit 30- has decided to set 23 April 2020 as the date for adjudication in the request to overturn the travel ban decision imposed on feminist activist Mozn Hassan. This comes after the Court has received a memo from the head of the technical office of the Public Prosecutor stating that Mozn Hassan, among others, has been added to travel ban and arrival watch lists based on a decision from the investigative judge on the background of Case 173/2011, and that the Prosecutor office has notified the General Administration for Passports, Immigration, and Nationality to enforce the investigative judge's orders.

The Court also decided to set the same day, 23 April 2020, for adjudication in Nazra's appeal against the asset freeze order imposed on the organization. The asset freeze order was issued by Cairo North Elementary Court on 11 January 2017 on the basis of an order from the investigative judge of the same case 173/2011. The decision is unprecedented as Nazra is the only NGO in the case that received an asset freeze order.

It is worth noting that the Court has postponed the session several times before since June 2019. In September, the Court requested the reasons of the travel ban and asset freeze orders from the investigative judge of the Case 173/2011, then the sessions was postponed a few times again waiting for the investigative judge's memo until today's session, in a prolonged legal harassment and intimidation against Nazra and Mozn Hassan.
